I think we all know mini polar bear drop rate is very very low.

But do they already drop now or do they only drop between Ded 25th to Jan 1st?
I think last year they started dropping from ~25th.

Whenever the wintersday quests Strength of Snow or Straight to the Heart is available. In other words whenever the rift warden appears with the wintersday quests which they are out now.

I've already done the quest multiple times since yesterday and those 2 quests are the only place where you can get the mini polar bear.

There has already been a screenshot of 1 dropping this wintersday. They don't have a specific date for when they drop other than just during wintersday.

They don't make different versions of the quest, the drops (and the drop rate) stays the same, no matter what the days is. So if those 2 quests are out, then yes you can get the mini. That's what he was saying... I don't think you needed to add the "omg dude", as he answered your question in his first reply

Yes, as far as you know. Drop rate is exremely low, so there were possibly people who got one and held on to it or didn't really spread word right away.

However, to give off the misconception to anyone who read your post that mini polar bears are 'dropping'. especially to give others hope that by some chance they too can get it on the 1st run is... well... you should've elaborated on the term 'dropping.' If by dropping you mean that every time you do the quest hoping that a mini polar bear will drop at the end is the same as walking outside and saying "Curse you, sky!" and expecting a lightning bolt to find its way onto your head via only air. Then yes, mini polars are in fact, dropping.

WHEN the QUEST comes, FROM RIFT WARDEN, IT STARTS, the chest doesnt start dropping a polarbear after a certain time, do you really think that?

How do u know if anet doesn't activate(?) the polar bear drop from ~24th? i'm just guessing this cos i haven't seen anyone selling it here or in game. n it was the same case last year.

I saw that screenshot too, but person with polar bear could have dropped it and picked it up again.

The only reason it may seem he may drop later is because of anets badly thought out way of doing it the first year - i think it was on the last day or 2 of wintersday they said - you can have a chance of mini polor bear.They sort of didnt bother telling players when it actually started and there was a huge rush of players to do the actual dungeon - bear was apparently available at start of event but no1 knew and hardly anyone went in.
The drop chance is that small you probably have a bigger chance of getting a mini dhumm drop from outside of uw ( sarcasm ) - you have to be either uber lucky to get one or someone who`s going to live in the dungeon till the end and still not get one.

Why is it ppl only moan about the bear dropping and i dont think ive seen yet on guru anyone moan that dhuum hasnt droppped for them even tho theres a huge amount of uwsc that goes on.

If you're going to be this paranoid then you might as well just hunt down the ANet team in-person and get an answer from them. Make sure to wear your tin foil hat though; you wouldn't want their gamma rays brainwashing you.

1. Everybody stop caring so much about it. It's a game. If you play it like it's meant to be played instead of griding on one quest for days on end, you might actually enjoy it. The drop rate for this thing is so low, that it most like isn't worth your time as you won't ever have one drop for you.

2. Mods close this thread. Pointless discussion now.

And really.... if you are that paranoid about whether they are dropping or not, then I suppose the only way you can really believe that they or dropping or not yet is to just farm yourself untill you get one. Get to work.
